Two Boys Arrested in Schoolyard Beating
Brothers turned themselves in to police in battery of Tosa teenager on Lincoln School grounds.

Two Milwaukee brothers, ages 13 and 14, have been arrested for on the playground at Lincoln Elementary School, police said.
According to Wauwatosa Police Lt. Gerald Witkowski, the boys turned themselves in at the police station Wednesday and were interviewed, arrested, booked and released until a date for an appearance in Children's Court is set.
Witkowski said that reports on the boys' statements to police about the incident are not yet complete, but he expected that a report would be forwarded to Children's Court on Friday.

The brothers first arrived at the on Tuesday night with the intention of turning themselves in then, Witkowski said, but because the police were at the time dealing with a pair of adult suspects being booked on felony charges, they were asked to return Wednesday.
Witkowski said the police had been prepared to make an arrest by the time the boys contacted them.

An earlier police report filed Saturday and reported here Monday had , Witkowski said Tuesday. The report stated that the boys at that time were suspected of aggravated battery, a felony, because the injuries to the victim required medical attention.
A Wauwatosa police detective opened an investigation into the beating when he found a video recording of the incident posted on the website www.worldstarhiphop.com. He recognized the assailants as Wauwatosa school students and confirmed their identities with school officials, who also recognized the victim as a sophomore.
Fox 6 News followed up the story of the incident that appeared Monday on Wauwatosa Patch and interviewed the mother of the two boys, who told a broadcast reporter that her sons had admitted they were the assailants after the account appeared on television. She told Fox 6 that she would see to it boys would turn themselves in.
