GERMANTOWN, WI—Two women were arrested after a heated exchange during a protest Tuesday night in Germantown. A 75-year-old Germantown woman instigated an altercation by yelling to a protester, "All Lives Matter" near Pilgrim Road and Council Bluffs Drive, according to Germantown Police Chief Mike Snow.

One of the protesters started recording the woman who either slapped the phone or the hand of the person holding the phone. A protester then pushed the woman to the ground, Snow said.

"One of our officers witnessed the push and arrested the protester. The 75 year old was later arrested for disorderly conduct," Snow told Patch.

Around 9 p.m. the protesters eventually walked and drove back to their cars at Alt Bauer Park.

The Peoples Revolution of Milwaukee, part of the Black Lives Matter movement, held a protest on Tuesday at Alt Bauer Park in Germantown at 4:30 p.m., according to a Facebook post. The protest was regarding former Wauwatosa Police Officer Joseph Mensah.

On Thursday, TPR posted a statement on Facebook.

"Yesterday we loudly and peacefully marched through the streets of Germantown and one of our protestors were assaulted by a woman who ran out of her house to approach the people. The woman who attacked our protestor was picked up and carefully walked away from the situation that she caused while our protestor was put in cuffs and arrested and quickly taken away to the station.
We were met with 5 different police districts, aggressive barking dogs, riot gear as well as spike strips..all while the attacker sat in the comfort of her home after she was allowed to attack a protestor. This is one of the reasons we are still out here marching and fighting. We are ready for change, we need change because our black and brown lives depend on change. There are strength in numbers so come walk, bike, skate, or drive with us!! United We Stand Divided We Fall."
