Wauwatosa City Services Impacted By Coronavirus Shutdowns
Trash pickup, Public Library, Municipal Court, Parks, Senior Meals, Voting and other key functions are addressed in the city's announcement.

WAUWATOSA, WI — City officials in Wauwatosa are strongly encouraging residents to call, email, or use the city's website for online services. That website can be found here: City of Wauwatosa.
After Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers declared a public health emergency and closed down all K-12 schools, many municipalities, including Wauwatosa, have been making changes to their routine functions and public services. Below you can find the changes that have been made as of March 17:

According to Wauwatosa city officials, the following city services have been impacted by the coronavirus shutdowns.
- Garbage and recycling collection continues. See your collection schedule.
- Building permits, contractor work, and other work with Development or Building & Safety continues. We strongly encourage you to call, email, or use our website for online services. No open office hours for inspectors.
- The Wauwatosa Public Library closed to the public on March 16. However, they offer free streaming services, e-Books, and digital magazines with your library card. See the library's response to COVID-19 and what services are available.
- Municipal Court is canceled through May 1, 2020. Those scheduled for court during this period will be rescheduled and notified by phone or mail. If you have any questions about contesting a parking ticket you may call the court office at (414) 471-8488. We encourage payments be made online or by mail rather than in person. - City parks remain open to the public.
- Senior meals (carry out) are available: Milwaukee County manages meals for seniors at Hart Park. As of March 16, these are carry out meals. Learn more and contact Milwaukee County for more information.
- Paying property taxes, water bills, pet licenses, or other bills at the Finance or Water Department: We encourage you to use online bill pay, our 24/7 night depository box at City Hall, or payments by mail. Licenses are available at the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC). Please call our staff with questions about how to make payments: (414) 479-8960.
- Absentee vote online. The Wauwatosa city clerk’s office remains open for in person absentee voting. You can submit in person absentee ballots through Friday, April 3 at 5 p.m. Wauwatosa has extended voting hours during this period: the office will be open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The office will also be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
