Wauwatosa Offers Federal Grants For Affordable Housing Projects
The city is offering federal government funds to organizations that want to make Wauwatosa more accessible.

WAUWATOSA, WI — The City of Wauwatosa announced Tuesday that it is offering Community Development Block Grant funds to organizations looking to build secure housing and economic opportunities for residents.
Applications will be open until Aug. 31, according to the city website. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development gives the funds to the city each year, it added.
The money is meant to fund eligible projects that can provide services like safe housing, supportive services for senior citizens and people with disabilities or promote community economic development projects, according to the application.

Future projects must be built in an area that benefits people who need these services and funds must benefit low and moderate income people, according to the application.
Organizations can apply through the city website or send their application to City Hall at 7725 W. North Ave.
