Wauwatosa Police Pay Tribute To Officer Sebena On Social Media
Officer Jennifer Sebena was found dead outside the Wauwatosa Fire Station on Dec. 24, 2012 while on duty.

WAUWATOSA, WI—It isn't as though anyone at the Wauwatosa Police Department could forget Jennifer Sebena. Known for her bubbling spirit and hearty sense of humor, she was a young woman made to stick in anyone's memory. Wauwatosa Police posted a tribute to the fallen officer, who was killed eight years ago, on social media.
"Remembering our friend and colleague, Officer Jennifer L. Sebena. EOW 12/24/2012," the post said.

Jennifer Sebena was found dead just outside Wauwatosa Fire Station No. 1 in the Village on Dec. 24, 2012, shot five times in the head. She had been on the police force for two years, and graduated from the top of her class at the MATC Police Academy. She had gone on solo patrol in July and had been assigned to the night shift only about a month before her death.

Former Marine and Menomonee Falls resident Benjamin Sebena was sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of parole in 35 years, for the Christmas Eve killing of his wife, Wauwatosa police officer Jennifer Sebena.
Sebena was buried with full honors after a memorial service attended by hundreds of law enforcement officers from across Wisconsin and even from other states.
She was the first officer to be killed in the line of duty in the 96-year history of the Wauwatosa Police Department.
