WAUWATOSA, WI — Wauwatosa officials are considering making changes to city ordinances in order to solve a number of problems that have cropped up related to public parking lots.

According to city officials, a number of concerns have been brought up, including: keeping the lots cleared of snow when overflow parking and construction equipment is routinely parked in the lots overnight; and providing parking to businesses that open before 6 a.m., which is when municipal lots open.

City documents state that officials plan to revise ordinances to allow exceptions to Wauwatosa parking regulations on a case-by-cases basis. Officials say the change would accommodate the needs of both the public and the city.
