  1. The College National Finals Rodeo is coming to Casper! Competitors from the University of Wyoming, as well as from the College of Southern Idaho will compete next week. Cowboys and cowgirls from all over the nation will arrive in Casper beginning Sunday, Jun. 11 until the event ends on Jun. 17. Steer wrestling, bronc riding, and bare bronc riding are among the many tested skills. (University of Wyoming)
  2. Boston Pizza Takes a new sports bar and restaurant set to open up in Casper in early 2024. The restaurant has partnered with Galaxy Management to make the Casper installation the first in Wyoming. It is expected to become a very comfortable watering hole popular with the locals.   3. During a recent Casper City Council meeting, the council approved vehicle purchases worth $519,985 to upgrade the city fleet. Most of the successful bids came from local businesses in Casper, with one bid from Sheridan. The purchases include a new skid steer loader, pickup trucks, a water truck, a sub-compact tractor, and a haul truck, which will be funded through one-cent sales tax funds and a grant.   • Captain Mark Graff of Casper Fire-EMS has been promoted to the position of Battalion Chief. With 24 years of experience, Graff holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Fire Science and various qualifications, including EMT Intermediate. He will now serve as the Battalion Chief of the Community Risk Reduction Division, and Fire Chief Black commended Graff's extensive experience, problem-solving abilities and expressed confidence in his new role.
