• Casper Planning & Zoning Commission forwards Eagle Valley subdivision replat to City Council (oilcity.news) — A recent Casper Planning & Zoning Commission vote is sending a controversial Eagle Valley subdivision replat to Casper City Council, potentially allowing two new homes on land neighbors view as a key drainage area. Residents raised stormwater and slope-stability worries, while city staff and the developer said engineering and easements will protect drainage. The commission also backed a rezoning on Mariposa Boulevard and canceled its January meeting. 
• Alleged Hiland store burglars crash in sagebrush after shop owner pursues (oilcity.news) — Two Fremont County men are accused of burglarizing a shuttered Hiland store, fleeing in a van, and ultimately being arrested along Highway 20-26 between Casper and Shoshoni after crashing into sagebrush. A quick-acting shop owner from Hiland pursued them for nearly an hour, narrowly avoiding a head‑on collision, and investigators later tied one suspect to the scene using shoe‑tread and recovered property. Both men deny the charges and remain presumed innocent.
