- Multiple areas of Casper reported flooding following heavy rainfall on Thursday afternoon. City officials temporarily closed multiple roadways, including Collins Street, due to overwhelmed stormwater systems in the area. A representative for the Casper City Council said in a statement that the city is looking at ways to upgrade the outdated infrastructure to prevent similar flooding in the future. - Beginning tomorrow, Jun. 11, the stretch of the Platte River Trail between Mike Lansing Field and the pedestrian bridge behind the North Casper softball fields will be closed for mosquito abatement. The closure is necessary to ensure that Natrona County Weed and Pest officials can effectively spray without impacting citizen health. The trail is expected to reopen at dawn on Monday, Jun. 12. - A Casper worksite has been recognized by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) for 10 years of continuous participation in voluntary protection programs. The Phillips 66 Bulk Petroleum Storage Facility and Terminal was officially recognized for the milestone on Jun. 7. In a statement from OSHA, the site was commended for "combining an incredibly strong work ethic, communication, and passion for the safety and health of employees and contractors."
