• Bar patron sues College Inn after hit by exit door (douglas-budget.com) — A Douglas bar is facing a negligence lawsuit after a regular customer says a forceful exit door at the College Inn in downtown Douglas knocked her to the sidewalk in March 2024, causing serious arm injuries and multiple surgeries. The owners deny responsibility, argue she was intoxicated and aware of any risk, and both sides have requested a jury trial, though no trial date is set yet.

• Peterson pours in 27 points to take down Jackson in finale (douglas-budget.com) — Douglas High School’s Bearcats boys basketball team opened the season at the Compete Casper Classic, battling top 4A programs before routing Jackson 59–28 behind Colton Peterson’s 27-point, 14-rebound performance.
