Britt Leads The Way In Fundraising Among Senate Candidates

U.S. Senate candidate Katie Britt raised more than $5 million in just six months in 2021, leading her opponents.

MONTGOMERY, AL — U.S. Senate candidate Katie Britt ended 2021 as the most prolific fundraiser among those vying for the seat that has been held by Sen. Richard Shelby since 1987. Britt raised more than $5 million in just six months in 2021.

Britt's campaign reported raising $1.2 million and spending $480,746 in Q4 and ending the year with more than $4 million cash on hand. None of her funds come from personal loans or transfers from campaign committees.

Rep. Mo Brooks, who has been seen as the front-runner in the race for most of his campaign, raised $385,735 and spent $260,599 in Q4, ending the year with $1.9 million cash on hand. He, like Britt, has no debts or loans.

Candidate Mike Durant, who has been more active on the campaign trail in the last few months, raised $164,928 and spent $1.79 million in Q4. His campaign ended the year with $2.5 million cash on hand, most of which comes from a $4.1 million personal loan from Durant.
