• Coroner seeks public help to identify two men who died in Jefferson County (abc3340.com) — Authorities are asking Bessemer residents to help identify a man whose mostly skeletonized remains were found at a condemned house on 17th Street North in the city. They’re also seeking information on a second unidentified man discovered beside a Family Dollar on Bessemer Road in Birmingham. Anyone who might recognize their descriptions is urged to contact the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
   

• Suspect charged in shooting death of 55-year-old man at Birmingham convenience store (al.com) — A man wanted in a deadly shooting outside a southwest Birmingham convenience store was arrested just hours later on 10th Street South in Bessemer. Police say an argument preceded the gunfire that killed 55-year-old Harold King, and authorities are still trying to locate his family. Relatives are urged to contact the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
