  1. Restaurateurs and farmers came together for a networking event on Monday. The event was organized by Sweet Grown Alabama, a non-profit agricultural branding program, and was aimed at helping connect restaurant owners with producers to alleviate supply chain issues affecting food prices in the state. The event took place at Jones Valley Teaching Farm. (WVTM 13)
  2. A 53-year-old man was killed after his vehicle stalled and was struck on I-65. Ronald Holt of Adamsville was driving southbound on I-65 at Daniel Payne Drive around 7:00 p.m. when the incident happened. His vehicle was struck from behind by another vehicle and he was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead. As of Monday evening, police are still investigating the crash. (AL.com)
  3. Authorities identified a couple killed on Sunday morning when their car struck a tree. According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, the victims are identified as Anthony Miekeco Peny, 36, and Phoebe Olivia Hurst, 30. Police say the vehicle was part of a group of cars who were driving fast together prior to the accident. It happened at about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday near the midtown Publix. (AL.com)
