Argo, AL Native Johnny Dailey Makes Mark on Nashville
Listen to His Debut EP and Brand New Summer Single Now

Where we grow up often has a lifelong impact on us as we pursue the next chapters of our lives. This rings particularly true for rising country star Johnny Dailey who has turned his upbringing into a 6-track EP named after a creek that ran through his childhood home backyard.
“Dillashaw,” the title of the debut EP, “is a creek that runs through the woods I grew up on,” Dailey explained. “I spent the majority of my youth on that land and have a lot of great memories there.”
Originally from Argo, Alabama, a small town outside of Birmingham, Dailey spent most of his life in the area until heading to South Carolina and eventually on to Nashville where he now resides with his wife and children. “Alabama is a huge part of who I am and it gives me a ton of inspiration for my music,” he shared. One of the most insightful looks at his family life is the emotional “24” capturing a man's desire to give up everything to get just one day more with the woman he loves which has accrued a whopping 1.1 million streams on Spotify alone.

Every track, including his debut release “Burns Like Whiskey” has an authentic hook with lyrics and melodies that catch in your ears and leave you wanting more. Luckily, Dailey didn’t leave fans waiting long for a brand new track that dropped earlier this summer just in time for boating season. "'Beers In It' felt like a natural summer release,” Dailey said, “and like Dillashaw, the song captures the small-town lifestyle I grew up loving.” That common thread has become a signature of his - often giving listeners a nostalgic and relatable tune to bop along to. Plus, as he puts it, “there's nothing better than the simple joy of cracking open a cold beer and enjoying a day on the water - or wherever you might be."

The songs have boosted Dailey to significant heights in a short time. As 2022 began he was given high praise from Billboard, being named one of their Artists to Watch. In June, he performed at CMA Fest on their Spotlight Stage as well as Spotify’s official Fresh Finds party at Blake Shelton’s Ole Red Bar. Now, Dailey is continuing to build on the steam of a string of impressive singles. With new music on the horizon and exciting opportunities ahead there is monumental momentum behind this small town kid that has never forgotten where he came from. “I hope this EP gives people a look inside life there."
