Arrest Made In Death Of Woodlawn Teen

A 17-year-old has been arrested in the May 9 death of 19-year-old Demonteco Usher.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police have made an arrest in the May 9 shooting death of Woodlawn High School student Demonteco Usher.

The shooting occurred on Interlaken Avenue, where Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department said multiple shots were fired in the area. Usher was found dead on the scene.

Police have arrested a 17-year-old suspect in Usher's death.
