- A Bessemer man is on the run after being charged with capital murder. The suspect, 28-year-old Hector Medina-Grajeda, shot and killed his pregnant girlfriend, 34-year-old Cynthia Anabel Cardenas, on Sunday morning while she was sitting inside her vehicle. Police are still searching for Medina-Grajeda, who was last seen on Sunday at a Days Inn in Lebanon, Tennessee. (AL.com)
