BIRMINGHAM, AL — Local author Randi Pink is using her experiences from the pandemic to build an outdoor escape for Birmingham kids. Pink recently closed on land at the base of Ruffner Mountain for the future Ruffner Treehouse Village, according to a Birmingham Business Journal report.
Pink purchased approximately 1.25 acres at 937, 941 and 945 80th St. S. for the project, which will include three treehouses in a play area with literary features and historical maps of Birmingham. The idea for the project came to Pink during quarantine when she realized the importance of kids getting outdoors and having alternate means of learning.
