Birmingham Education Foundation Names New Executive Director
Birmingham Education Foundation named Ashley Samuels to the organization's head role after a nationwide search.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Birmingham Education Foundation has new leadership, as Ashley Samuels has been named the organization's executive director. Sanuels succeeds J.W. Carpenter, who recently joined Birmingham Prosper as its executive director, according to the Birmingham Business Journal.
Samuels, a Birmingham native and longtime employee with Birmingham City Schools, earned multiple degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, including a Doctor of Philosophy degree in educational studies in diverse populations with a concentration in metropolitan studies.
