- Gas prices are steadily declining in Birmingham after months of being above average. In Birmingham, the average gasoline prices have fallen 9.1 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging about $3.45, according to GasBuddy's survey. The cheapest station in Birmingham was reportedly priced at $3.14 per gallon Sunday, while the most expensive sat at $4.29. (WIAT - CBS42.com)
- Mark your calendar for the Birmingham Zoo’s German Oktoberfest! On Oct. 1, the inaugural Birmingham Zoo German Oktoberfest will feature authentic German and seasonal autumn brews, live music, traditional lawn games, and German food favorites. The 21+ event will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will operate with a “Penny-A-Pour” system, with proceeds donated to the Support Your Zoo’s Animals fund.
