Birmingham's Euphonious 2 Festival Announces Musical Lineup

The event will feature three days of concerts from June 17-19 at the Birmingham Zoo. Find out who is playing.

BIRMINGHAM, AL —Better Than Ezra, Colbie Caillat and Collective Soul are the headline acts scheduled to perform at this summer's Euphonious 2 music and technology festival, organizers announced Tuesday.

The festival, which debuted last year —and featured Sister Hazel and Tonic, among others —will take place on June 17-19 at the Henley Park Lawn at the Birmingham Zoo.

"Euphonious was a major success for Birmingham, attracting concertgoers and visitors from across 18 states, while bringing marquee musical talent to the city," organizers said on the festival's website.

Sunday, June 19: Venture Boi, Harry Mack, Collective Soul.

According to the festival organizers, there are three types of tickets for the festival, which are available online.

  • General Admission: The Henley Park Lawn at the zoo will accommodate approximately 2,000 general admission attendees. Passes are available online.
  • VIP Passes: These include porch seating to enjoy the festival, along with access to the secret Mason Music Acoustic Lounge performances from each Euphonious 2 artist.
  • Party Squares: A small number of these 10-foot-by-10-foot squares are at the back of the lawn and are available for groups of up to eight. The squares enable attendees to bring in chairs for the square and are perfect for people who don't have to be right up front, according to organizers.

Organizers said the concerts will take place rain or shine, and they promise that the music will not affect the animals at the zoo.

"When they built the Henley Park Event Lawn during their multi-million-dollar 2017 renovation, they did so specifically with the animals and their safety in mind. Normal concert volume has zero impact on the animal population at the zoo," organizers said in a statement.

According to AL.com, the festival will donate part of its proceeds to United Ability —formerly known as UCP of Central Birmingham — which serves children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Also, this year, the festival will feature a video game event called the Euphonious Pro/Am, which will take place on the campus of United Ability, 100 Oslo Circle in Birmingham. The details of that event have yet to be announced.
