City Of Bessemer To Require Masks In City Facilities
The Bessemer City Council voted to make mask or facial covering required in all municipal facilities through October 5.

BESSEMER, AL — The City of Bessemer will now require masks inside all municipal buildings. The Bessemer City Council approved the requirement Tuesday night.
The measure is in place through October 5, according to the ordinance.
The Bessemer City Council voted on Tuesday to make the wearing of masks or face coverings a requirement for all municipal facilities through October 5. Mayor Kenneth Gulley has urged Bessemer residents to remain vigilant as COVID cases have increased recently in the state.

The City of Birmingham approved a similar order in July, and The University of Alabama at Birmingham announced that masks will be required indoors throughout its campus as well.
