Here are the top three stories in Birmingham today:
- A Wylam man says he found a dog playing with a human skull in his yard. Police arrived on Friday morning. It is currently unknown where the skull was originally found and no other remains have been located. Due to the condition of the skull, the coroner estimates that the death occurred years ago. - A 23-year-old man shot by Birmingham police has been identified as Dontrell Lerrell Moore. Two West precinct Officers were dispatched on Saturday afternoon to a home where a father wanted his son to leave. Police say they tried to de-escalate the situation before shooting Moore. (AL.com)
- Brian Allen Wyatt of Birmingham died after being struck by a vehicle at the local McDonald’s around 5:00 a.m. on Friday. Wyatt was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the event. (Trussvilletribune)
