Fatal Stabbing In East Birmingham: Suspect In Custody
A 35-year-old man was stabbed to death in east Birmingham Wednesday night.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 35-year-old man is dead after a stabbing in east Birmingham Wednesday night. The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. in the 600 block of 2nd Avenue South.
The preliminary investigation by Birmingham police say the victim, Earnest Porter Smith, was involved in an altercation before being stabbed multiple times. Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said police have a suspect in custody.
