Here are the top three stories today in Birmingham:
- The Birmingham Boys Choir will be performing its annual Christmas concert next month. The 45th annual concert is titled "Behold the Star." It will be performed on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Samford University's Wright Center at 7:00 p.m. Admission to the concert is free. The concert is meant as a gift to the Birmingham community. - A former Birmingham officer has been convicted of capital murder. Alfreda Janapril Fliker, 42 years old, was a detective with the Birmingham Crime Reduction Team. She has been found guilty of murdering Kanisha Fuller, 43 years old, by shooting into an unmarked patrol car in 2020. She is being held at the Jefferson County Jail. (WBRC)
- The National Park Service is currently collecting community feedback for the Birmingham Civil Rights National Monument. The National Park Service will be overseeing a portion of the monument.
