Josh Jones to Co-Chair Audio Content Committee for Third Year

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (July 2021) – Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. is proud to announce that Birmingham office Managing Principal Josh Jones has been appointed to serve for a third year as co-chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Litigation Section’s Audio Content Committee.

The committee manages the development and production of the section’s monthly podcast, Litigation News, which features conversations with top litigators, judges, and experts to help litigators develop their careers, win more cases, earn more clients, and build sustainable practices. The committee also oversees branding and quality standards for the section’s Sound Advice platform and audio library, through which experienced attorneys provide insight on a host of topics of interest to litigators and young lawyers.

“It has been a great honor to serve as chair of the Audio Content Committee for the past two years,” said Jones. “The development of the Litigation Section’s Litigation News podcast has been the most rewarding work that I’ve done for the section. It is great programming that should serve as a resource for litigators everywhere.”

The ABA Litigation Section launched the Litigation News podcast in early May 2021. It examines different areas of litigation through interviews with notable legal scholars and practicing litigators.

“With the help of an expert line-up of guests, Dave Scriven-Young’s great work as host, and the reach of the American Bar Association, we’re planning to have listeners around the country examine fascinating and interesting litigation topics,” said Jones. “We’re excited to explore some of today’s most important legal issues and trends through an insightful and engaging legal podcast.”

Future plans for the committee include building and growing the reach of Litigation News, improvements to the Sound Advice platform in an effort to make it a go-to resource for the dozens of substantive committees that make up the Section, and the potential development of streaming resources that would allow the Litigation Section to reach anyone interested in the important work being done by the section.

Jones is a principal in Bressler’s financial institutions group where he focuses on defending broker-dealers and investment advisers against claims asserted by their customers and employees, regulatory investigations, and enforcement actions.
