BIRMINGHAM, AL — October has begun and the music calendar in the Birmingham metro area is filling up.

Featured this coming week is a cool show at Iron City featuring The Monkees — Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz — celebrating 50 years of incredible music.

Also on the calendar is Slicefest in the Lakeview area, featuring JJ Grey & Mofro, The Stooges Brass Band, The Talismen Band and Hedonistas.
