Man Dead After Pratt City Shooting
A 21-year-old man was killed in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the Pratt City community.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 21-year-old man is dead after a shooting in the Pratt City community Sunday afternoon. The shooting occurred just after 1 p.m. at 509 Avenue G.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said Artez McGowen was found on the scene suffering from gunshot wounds, and was taken to UAB Hospital by Birmingham Fire & Rescue, where he was later pronounced dead.

by shooting," Mauldin said. "The suspect’s vehicle fled the scene in a midsize sedan."
Police said no arrests have been made in the shooting.
