Man Found Shot To Death At Kings Inn In North Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A man was shot and killed early Tuesday morning in north Birmingham. The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. at the Kings Inn, at 1313 3rd Avenue North.

Police say officers found the victim lying unresponsive on the walkway of the property suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department said information is limited in the case, only that the unknown shooter fled the scene after the shooting.

This was the second homicide in north Birmingham in less than an hour Tuesday morning, as a man was shot and killed around 1:30 a.m. by a motorist when he reportedly tried to enter a vehicle on 7th Ave. North.
