Missing Baby Recovered, Reunited With Family
A four-day-old baby boy in Fairfield who had been reported missing Tuesday has been found safe.

FAIRFIELD, AL — A missing newborn baby in Fairfield has been found safe and reunited with his family. The infant, only four days old, was reported missing around 2 p.m. Tuesday from his home in the 600 block of Jerry D. Coleman Street.
The child's mother said she put the baby in his crib and took a nap, and woke up to find the child missing. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation into the child's disappearance, but no details of the investigation have been released.
"From tips, social media shares to prayers and positive words, we want to thank you all for helping to create a wonderful ending to a stressful situation," Deputy Chief David Agee said.
