  1. A mother died on Saturday after being 'unintentionally' shot by her 12-year-old son. According to the sheriff's office, the 29-year-old mother was found just after midnight in the 2400 block of Freemont Avenue. Detectives determined that her 12-year-old son had "unintentionally discharged a firearm." Authorities say that the offense will be addressed through the family court system. (Alabama's News Leader)
