🌱 Nine-Car Crash Shuts Down I-59 + Teen Fatally Shot At Gas Station

Here are the top three stories in Birmingham today:

  1. A multi-car crash caused one exit on I-59 North to shut down on Sunday. The Tallapoosa Exit was shut down after a crash involving nine vehicles. Three people were taken to the hospital, reportedly with minor injuries. The accident happened at about 3:00 p.m. (WBRC)
  2. A group of people gunned down an 18-year-old at a Birmingham gas station on Friday night. Police report that the shooting happened just before 6:00 p.m. at a Shell Gas in the 4000 block of Messer Airport Highway. The young man was rushed to the hospital where he died of his injuries. As of Sunday evening, the name of the victim has not been released. (WVTM13 Birmingham)
  3. Two people are dead after a car crash in Birmingham early on Sunday morning. According to police, officers responded to a call to 230 20th Street South with reports of an accident. Reports say that the vehicle crashed into a tree with two people inside. The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene; the male driver was taken to UAB Hospital, where he died from his injuries. (WBRC)
