  1. Will Dahlberg has been selected as executive director and general manager of Birmingham's NPR member station, 90.3 FM. Dahlberg has served twice as the station’s interim executive director, including over the last eight months. UAB Chief Communications Officer Jim Bakken said, “WBHM provides an invaluable service to the Birmingham community and beyond, and Will’s commitment and vision will lead the station in delivering on its mission.”(University of Alabama at Birmingham)
  2. The Birmingham Police are investigating a homicide on 43rd Ave. The police responded Thursday morning in the 4100 block. Little information on the investigation is available to the public as of Thursday evening beyond the police's tweets about the matter. (WBRC)
  3. Birmingham hosted the first-ever Drive Electric Summit on Thursday. Visitors were able to learn more about electric vehicles. Governor Kay Ivy attended as well to encourage the increased use of electric vehicles in the state. (WIAT - CBS42.com)
