  1. Some Birmingham faith leaders have put up a sign to bring attention to a death row case during The World Games 2022. A 21x6 foot sign was installed across from Protective Stadium that states “IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO FIX THIS MISTAKE” — in reference to the case of Toforest Johnson. The sign was the inspiration of Scott Douglas, Executive Director of Greater Birmingham Ministries, to highlight the voices from across Alabama that have called for a new trial in the high-profile case. 2. After months of renovations, Birmingham's Giuseppe’s Cafe is back. The popular Italian eatery in the Glen Iris neighborhood closed in May for extensive renovations. The restaurant opened back up on Tuesday for dine-in and takeout. (AL.com)
  3. Residents in a Birmingham apartment feel violated after some cars were vandalized. Over the weekend, at least 30 cars were damaged at the Crestwood Green at 701 Apartments. Residents are advocating for the apartment owners to invest in security cameras or hire security guards. Click the link for the video. (WVTM13 Birmingham)
