- Authorities are asking the public to identify a suspect of a shooting and robbery by photograph. The victim was 47-year-old Birmingham real estate developer Brian Plott who was shot in the femur on Jun. 12, 2022. Plott’s truck, gun, and cash were stolen by the suspect on the 7000 block of First Ave. (AL.com)
- The Invisible Histories Project is hosting a workshop to collect more pieces of LGBTQ+ history in the South. The non-profit group is hosting the Guerilla Archiving Event at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute on Saturday, Jun. 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (WIAT - CBS42.com)
- The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering cash rewards for information leading to a conviction in robberies of Birmingham mail carriers over the last few days. The suspects were allegedly driving a 2015 to 2017 black Nissan Versa with a spoiler and a green and white Drive Time paper tag. (WVTM13 Birmingham)
- Birmingham City Schools has received a Golden Achievement Award for t COVID-19 virus and vaccine public awareness campaign. The award was given by the National School Public Relations Association for the demonstration of exemplary public relations, marketing, communication, and engagement. (Birmingham Times)
