- A teen is dead after being struck by a speeding vehicle early Sunday morning. According to police, the driver of the vehicle was racing another driver on Bessemer road. The accident happened around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday. As of Monday evening, the victim has not yet been identified. (AL.com)
- On Sunday, a man was shot and killed in front of his eight-year-old daughter. According to police, the man was selling two handguns and was shot and killed by the people who were buying the guns. The shooting took place near the Salvation Army in Bessemer around 4:30 p.m. Police say that the man's daughter was not injured. (WBRC)
