Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Central Alabama
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Birmingham metro area until 3 a.m. Monday.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Sunday's high temperatures set records all over central Alabama, which may cause some surprise over the fact that the National Weather Service has now issued a winter weather advisory for the area until early Monday morning.
The NWS in Birmingham said snow accumulations up to one inch are possible in Jefferson and surrounding counties.
"Due to recent warmth, soil temperature maps show the ground is quite warm at this time," the NWS said in a report Sunday afternoon. "This should tend to limit accumulations. However, in the winter weather advisory area, we could manage to see up to an inch with perhaps a touch more in higher-elevation areas."
