Woman Shot In East Birmingham May 22 Dies In Hospital

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A Birmingham woman who was shot May 22 died at UAB Hospital Monday. Sheila Chantel Johnson, 27, was shot in at a Shell gas station at 8300 1st Avenue

North.

Johnson was one of three people shot that night, but was the only fatality in the shooting. She has been at UAB Hospital since the incident.

Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police department said police do not have any suspects in the case and the motive of the shooting is still unclear.
