Here are the top three stories in Hoover today:
- New homes are on the Hoover market. If you're looking for property, click the link to check out a list of new locations for sale. One home in Pelham is listed for $314,000 with four beds and three baths. Another house on Lakemond Drive in Hoover with four beds and four baths was listed at $399,000. - A survey of Alabama high school football coaches put Hoover second on the list of most desirable head coaching guys. Hoover received the top vote from 11 percent of the respondents while Thompson High School received 27 percent of the votes. Gulf Shores received eight percent and Auburn and Hewitt-Trussville received seven percent. (AL.com)
- High school football is beginning on Aug. 19, and Hoover's first matchup is against Auburn High School. Auburn's Coach Etheridge spoke at East Alabama Media Day about the opportunity. "Playing Hoover out the gate will give us a chance to see our strengths and weaknesses," one Auburn player said. (The Auburn Plainsman)
