Santa to make 2025 Christmas Eve rounds on Hoover fire trucks (hooversun.com) — Hoover families can watch for Santa riding through neighborhoods on Hoover Fire Department trucks this Christmas Eve from about 3 to 9:30 p.m. Firefighters will follow an online route schedule as closely as emergencies allow, and residents on short dead-end streets are encouraged to head to nearby main roads for a better chance to wave at Santa.

Umang Patel to fill Vestavia Hills city clerk role (vestaviavoice.com) — A former Hoover Municipal Court analyst, Umang Patel, is stepping into a key leadership role as director of administration and innovation in neighboring Vestavia Hills, a position that includes city clerk duties. His early work modernizing Hoover’s court technology helped launch a career now focused on improving government efficiency across departments.
4. ALGOP to open 2026 candidate qualifying on January 5 (alreporter.com) — If you’re planning a 2026 Republican run, you’ll need to qualify either online or in person at the Alabama GOP headquarters on Lorna Road in Hoover between January 5 and January 23, 2026.
