Here are the top three stories in Hoover today:

1. The Hoover City Council has agreed to do an inventory of recreational facilities and to create an amenity strategic plan. The project will be performed by LandDesign at a price tag of $239,000. Signature Homes has provided a $50,000 donation to cover some of the project's cost. (Hoover Sun)
2. Alabama Goods is expanding to Hoover. The store sells Alabama-made items such as gifts, food, and general goods. According to co-owner Beth Staula, the Hoover location has been in the works for years. The new store will be located in Stadium Trace Village. (Hoover Sun)
