  1. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reports a Center Point shooting has resulted in one death. The incident occurred in the 2400 block of 5th Street NW around 6:45 p.m. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The reason behind the shooting is currently unclear. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department. (WBRC)
  2. The Hoover City Council has approved giving Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato the power to adjust city salaries. The approval was in response to neighboring cities and counties increasing first responder salaries above Hoover's. The new approval is meant to retain Hoover's first responders. It is unclear how much the salaries will be adjusted. (WBRC)
  3. Jefferson County's next Commission Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 15 at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held on the second floor of the downtown County Courthouse. The meeting will be streamed on the county's website and on the county's Facebook page. (Jefferson County)
