  1. The Hoover City Council voted to purchase a Lorna Road office building for $1.9 million in order to relocate the fire department's administrative offices. The relocation is in response to planned expansions for the National Computer Forensics Institute. (Hoover Sun)
  2. The Alabama Community College System is offering free certifications for drivers to help relieve ongoing bus driver shortages. Shortages are affecting school districts nationwide due to new federal guidelines. (Alabama's News Leader)
  3. Local NASCAR driver Bobby Reuse is opening the first Alabama I Heart Mac & Cheese location in Hoover. The fast-casual restaurant will open on Dec. 21, and the first 10 guests in line will receive free mac and cheese for a year. (WBRC)
