- Hoover City Schools has increased its incentive package to attract more full-time bus drivers. The district has been trying a lot of different methods to fix the ongoing shortage but says nothing has worked. The district is offering a $250 monetary incentive for referrals that are hired full-time and stay with the district for at least six months. (WBRC)
- The Hoover Police Department is searching for an individual in a felony theft case that occurred last month on Montgomery Highway. The individual is wanted for questioning. The department has released a surveillance photo of the man. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department. (Hoover Police Department)
- The Jefferson County Health Department reports that there was a 233 percent increase in fentanyl-related overdose deaths in the county from 2019 to 2021. The department believes that this should be a "wake-up call" for the county. The department offers free fentanyl testing strips to Alabama residents. Click to request the strips. (WBRC)
