  1. Police are searching for a man who fraudulently cashed over $9,000 worth of checks. The man can be seen at the link in surveillance footage. He cashed the checks in May at banks around Hoover. Anyone with information on the man is asked to contact the police. (Alabama's News Leader)
  2. A new development may be on the horizon for Riverchase Galleria. The location that used to be a Sears store may one day be the site of a new hospital. City officials are gauging the possibility of the site being used for healthcare, which would be the most pronounced change for the area in its 36 years. The Sears building has sat unoccupied since 2019. (AL.com)
  3. According to this Iraq War veteran, losing an arm and a leg was the "best thing that ever happened to me." Noah Galloway lost his arm and leg to an explosive while serving overseas but says that the horrible accident changed his life for the good. Since then, he's been named the "Ultimate Guy" by Men's Health Magazine and came in third place on "Dancing With The Stars." He spoke to the Hoover Chamber of Commerce on Thursday.
