Garbage Pickup Service To Change In Hoover
The City of Hoover has reached a new agreement to change trash companies this fall.
HOOVER, AL — The City of Hoover has reached an agreement with a new waste removal company to begin trash pick-up in the city. Amwaste takes over service October 1, according to a WBRC report.
“Instead of going to every home three times a week, they will go two times a week. So that saves on crews and drivers, fuel and all those costs,” said Allan Rice, the Hoover City Administrator in a WBRC interview. Hoover residents still will not be billed for trash service, Rice said.
The first day of pickup will be trash only, while the second day will be both trash and recycling.
