- Falling gas prices in Hoover are helping some relax amid waves of inflation. People are still hoping that prices continue to fall so that more money can stay in their pockets. Gas prices in Alabama average about $3.54 per gallon, which is 64 cents cheaper than a month ago. According to the report at the link, some stations in Hoover are charging as little as $3.26 per gallon. Experts say prices will continue to fall as the summer travel season comes to an end. - Multiple agencies are investigating a man who is accused of fraudulent use of a credit card. Police in Hoover are joining officials from Millbrook and Prattville in search of a man who fraudulently used a credit card at the Walmart in the 100 block of Kelley Boulevard. The man is seen in a photo at the link wearing a brown hat, a blue shirt, and tan pants. While his face is obscured by his hat, someone may still be able to identify the man.
