- Police are looking for four people who reportedly stole one Dior handbag and seven Louis Vuitton handbags from the Belk inside the Riverchase Galleria. Police said the group fled the store with the bags without paying and left the scene in a red Hyundai sedan. The total value of the bags is over $12,000. (Alabama's News Leader)
- A new state pay plan will give teachers a 4 percent raise, but Hoover City Schools is already paying teachers the proposed salary. Under the new plan, teachers with a bachelor’s degree and two or fewer years of experience would earn a minimum of $43,358 a year. Currently, a first-year teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Hoover City Schools is paid a $43,359 salary. (AL.com)
- The Regions Tradition will stay at the Greystone Golf and Country Club through at least 2032, the PGA Tour Champions and Regions Bank announced. The Hoover/Birmingham area country club has hosted the golf championship since 2016, and the nine-year extension is the third-longest extension in PGA TOUR Champions history.
