Here are the top three stories in Hoover today:
- The 2022 Ho Ho Hoover-Randle Open House saw a crowd of more than 200 attendees, along with 120 volunteers, entertainers, and special guests. The event was a fundraiser for Hoover Helps, a nonprofit which provides food and clothing for children in need. Attendees were able to tour the historic Hoover-Randle Home & Gardens, participate in a silent auction, and have entertainment provided by the Hoover High School choir and Buccanette and Dazzler dance teams from Hoover and Spain Park high schools. - The Associated Press named Alabama native Will Anderson as SEC Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row. Anderson was selected unanimously to the AP All-SEC team. (Rivals.com - Alabama)
- Do you want your dog or cat to meet Santa this year? You can sign up for Pet Portraits with Santa hosted by the Humane Society of West Alabama! The holiday portrait sessions will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6, Thursday, Dec. 8, and Saturday, Dec 10 at the Safe Haven Church at Big Sandy, about 50 minutes outside of Hoover.
