Here are the top three stories in Hoover today:

1. Are you in the market for a new home in the area? Five new homes have just hit the Hoover market. There's a three-bed, two-bath house on Meadow Woods Drive listed at $199,500. 2. High school football is nearly here, and the conversation on everyone's mind is the rivalry between Thompson and Hoover. In the last five years, the winner of the matchup has gone on to play in the state championship. 3. Family and friends will mourn the loss and celebrate the life of local woman Anne Schilleci today. The 75-year-old passed on Friday surrounded by her husband and children. Visitation services will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. She was born in Birmingham and lived in Hoover for many years. (Legacy.com)
