Here are the top three stories in Hoover today:
- The Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce has unveiled a new three-year plan to elevate the city's economy. The strategic plan was unveiled during a kickoff event in The Grove shopping center on Tuesday night. The Chamber plans to market the city, attract new companies, and retain existing ones. The chamber highlighted its ability to act as a resource hub for businesses. (Hoover Sun)
- A Hoover High School alum was chosen during the 2022 NFL Draft. Georgia wide receiver George Pickens was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers during the second round. Alabama high schools had the sixth-highest number of draft selections while Texas produced the most. (AL.com)
- Hoover residents have been reminded by the Alabama Forestry Commission that a Jefferson County burn ban has been placed into effect. The ban prohibits any outside burning during the entire summer season until October. Grilling and outside cooking are not included in the burn ban. (wbrc.com)
